The project participant: Charlotte Olling Rebsdorf – Limfjordsteatret
Name of the project: Slow walks through landscapes
What’s the heart of your pilot in Collab 4 HySust CCI?
Our pilot in Collab 4 HySust CCI unites children with nature and the arts, fostering a deep connection to Limfjorden. Through storytelling, creative exploration, and environmental education, we empower youth to understand and celebrate their surroundings. This project merges sustainability with cultural engagement, creating a vibrant, inclusive learning experience.
What’s something you’re really proud of achieving so far (with your project inside Collab 4 HySUST CCI)?
I’m incredibly proud of how this project has gained the children’s trust, allowing us to lead them on a unique journey that intertwines art, nature, and curiosity. Our slow walks along the fjord have become moments of discovery, where the children feel free to explore, share, and connect deeply with their surroundings. Together, we’ve created a safe space for learning and imagination. This journey has shown the profound impact of slowing down and embracing the natural world as part of education.
Where do you see your project heading next?
Looking ahead, I envision our project growing to involve more institutions on Mors, working together to foster a sense of community and cohesion for the children. By building partnerships, we aim to create new ways of thinking about our connection to nature, encouraging a sustainable future mindset. This collaborative approach will empower children to care deeply for their environment and strengthen their bonds within the community.
What do you think is the most valuable thing that the Collab 4 HySUST CCI project has brought to you?
The most valuable aspect of the Collab 4 HySUST CCI project has been meeting my mentor and forming a cross-border connection grounded in our shared vision for art and societal change. Through this partnership, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of the urgency of shaping a better world for the next generation. This mentorship has inspired me both personally and professionally, reinforcing the power of collaboration and shared purpose.
From your experience participating in the Collab 4 Hy Sust CCI project, what advice would you give to organizations similar to yours?
This response should include advice, encouragement, and a recommendation for this program or similar programs, if one exists, of course
My advice to similar organizations is to embrace collaboration across borders and diverse fields, as it opens up new perspectives and resources that can greatly enhance your impact. Don’t be afraid to bring in mentors and partners who share your vision for change; their insights and support can be transformative. Programs like Collab 4 HySUST CCI provide invaluable frameworks for fostering connections and driving innovation. Most importantly, stay focused on your mission to inspire the next generation, as this work has the potential to reshape communities and build a more sustainable future.
Would you like to add something?
I would love the opportunity for us all to meet in real life, not just online. It would be wonderful to see the faces behind each project and to have time to talk, share, and connect on a deeper level. Being together in person would enrich our collaboration, allowing for more meaningful exchanges and inspiration that could propel our work even further.
