Description
The Einca Service company is the manager of the Astronomical Observatory Planetarium of Anzi (PZ) and deals with scientific dissemination and teaching, using new technological communication tools it aims to disseminate scientific knowledge in the various target audiences.
The project will be a driving force for the experimentation of new uses of the technology supplied by the observatory and the prototyping of new strategies capable of putting a tourist attractor in an internal area of Basilicata, in line with the offers of large museum and science centers that have leaded the sector in Southern Italy. Examples are the Città della Scienza in Naples and the MAN (Archeological Museum – Naples), where the experimentation of gamification was an element that brought usually distant publics closer to STEM and archeology, such as teenagers in choosing amusement activities or children together with their dads.
The analysis of the data relating to public with special needs in the tourism sector of the inner Basilicata area will make it possible to diversify the usual now inflated packages especially with Matera EcoC 2019, developing the follow-up of the more delocalized productions that were born precisely on the occasion of the event, where the game as a digital toolkit will be the access key, which can then continue to be further developed thanks to this research. Artist gamification will make it possible to interconnect different fields, specifically astronomy, meteorology and interactive art with a hands-on approach, to create a diversified and multidisciplinary offer that welcomes the challenge of
accessibility and sustainability.
