Description
Slovenský viacodborový inštitút, an organization engaged in public benefit activities of various kinds. We are a group of citizens passionate about history as well as technology. We make digitalizations of castles and other monuments based on LIDAR data, which give us
valuable information about the remains of these buildings. In addition, we also digitize other objects and sculptures. We create plastic models as well as augmented reality from data and historical sources.
We create augmented reality for tourist places such as castles and palaces, which allows tourists to better imagine unknown historical or
even present-day facts. For example: what a place looked like in a certain period or what was located there. Within the augmented reality
application, in most cases we use LIDAR data to create the 3D models themselves, which are displayed through the smartphone, but we also try to collect data through the application from the user by their interaction to our questions.
